On the 28^th June, we invited Year 5 students from local primary schools to take part in our annual Challenge Morning. The children and their parents had the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities from across the curriculum, including stage fighting, pizza making, creative writing, 'being a Scientist', and more.

The Engineering team ran a CAD/CAM design and technology challenge, which showcased a part of the school that has seen significant growth in student numbers and investment in recent years. As a result, we have launched a new post-16 course — the Technical Extended Diploma in Engineering (equivalent to three A Levels) — which students from both The Westwood Academy and Kenilworth School will begin in September.
