SEND
Introducing Dexter!
The Inclusion and SEND department would like to welcome Dexter to the team! Dexter is registered PAT dog. From Tuesday 8th November 2022 will be working with the team in supporting the mental health and well-being of some of our students. Dexter will be helping them to regulate their feelings and emotions. This is particularly effective for young people with autism and anxiety.
Did you know?
Studies show that spending time with an animal can improve mental health, reduce blood pressure and support in managing stress!
Dexter will be working with us once week with Jane Parsons, his trained owner in support small groups and with individuals for the rest of this academic year and possibly beyond!
