Free School Meals
Free School Meals Claim Your Entitlement
Free School meals are available for any eligible child who attends school on a full time basis, this includes sixth form pupils. Your child will be eligible for Free School meals if you or your partner receive either:
- Income Support
- Income based Job Seekers Allowance
- Child Tax Credit, with no element of Working Tax Credit*, and a household income below
- £16,190 (as assessed by HM Revenue and Customs)
- National Asylum Seekers Support
- Guarantee Element of State Pensions Credit
- Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
*Please note: if you have recently stopped working, or have reduced your working hours to less than 16 hours per week, and are receiving a four week run on of Working Tax Credit payments, you can apply for Free School Meals for four weeks, at the commencement of the run on period.
